There's a special temporary exhibit at Grand Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court upholding NYC's landmarks law. Thanks in part to this monumental decision, our city has well over 100 protected historic districts and thousands of buildings, along with many individual landmarks. Can you imagine what New York would be like today if there were no laws protecting our architectural treasures and our historic neighborhoods? Exhibits runs through October 5th.
