TOUR DESCRIPTION:
Join us on an exploration of one of NYC's most desirable neighborhoods. Framed by Central Park and Riverside Park, the variety of housing is staggering: From small studios and one bedrooms in walkup townhouses to spacious pre-war apartments flush with amenities to newer condos. Neighborhood amenities including 2 subways and numerous bus lines, countless restaurants both casual and upscale, and three commercial arteries - Broadway, Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues. There's some magnificent residential architectural, colorful history and plenty of pop culture (celebrity homes, movie locations).
As you may imagine the Upper West Side has become very expensive - $4,000/month or more for a one bedroom rental is not unusual and purchasing a decent one bedroom will cost at least $600,000 and as much as $800,000 for cooperatives (more for condos).
