Head Uptown to Affordable Manhattan! Getting to Know Hudson Heights.

The first in a series of free neighborhood introductory tours covering the housing market, amenities, history and culture. Whether you are interested in buying or renting, you will come away with knowledge of the opportunities in Hudson Heights and the kind of lifestyle you would have in one of NYC’s best affordable neighborhoods.

This 90-minute tour will cover:

· The sale and rental market and a sampling of buildings as we stroll

· Transportation options, food shopping and restaurants

· Green space and outdoor recreation: Fort Tryon Park, Bennett Park and Fort Washington Park

· The neighborhood’s history and celebrity residents

Essentials:

Meeting place and time: 9:30am at Fort Washington Avenue, outside the playground opposite the exit to the A train’s 190th Street station by the entrance to Fort Tryon Park.  If taking the subway or coming from Bennett Avenue, you take the elevator to reach this destination. The #4 bus also gets you right there.

Restrooms: We’ll have a restroom stop very early in the tour (within 5-10 minutes of our start).

Endpoint: 181st Street and Fort Washington Avenue, convenient to the A and #1 subways, the M4 bus and brunch options.
